 Tribute To A Friend

Your hugs and smiles
we will all miss.
Your kindness and friendship
and sweet forehead kiss.

There were always laughs
when you were near.
Even in serious matters
you made us laugh til tears.

Your smile shines brightly
in so many minds.
You lived a full life
in too short a time
!

Rest in peace
our joyful friend.
The love you gave
will never end!

A sweet friend recently passed well before his time. There have been too many of those in recent years! I could name over a dozen sadly. Each one, no matter how close, how long I knew them, or how old they were, all left lasting impacts on my life...and countless others.  It makes me stop and reflect on my life and if I am making positive impacts on those I love. Am I doing all I can? God knows, I would love to do so much more!

It is in the little things that big impacts can be made. A smile, a shoulder to lean or cry on, a good laugh, a warm embrace, a kiss on the forehead, words of encouragement, or an open ear.  Sometimes in the still moments of our days more can be heard, or recognized.  The words above came flooding in while my friend's smiling face filled my mind, conjuring up many heartfelt memories.

I took a break from computers and posting here for sometime. Trying to get out of the house and savor every moment I can with loved ones has been my #1 goal this year, after too much time lost the few years prior. Thankfully, even pushing my limits, I have achieved my goal so much more than I could have hoped for. I pray to reach greater heights, while balancing using my gifts, talents, and time wiser. Life is far too short to waste!

Cherish your loved ones, dare to dream, choose happiness, and count your blessings!  Everyday is such a valuable gift, live it to the fullest!

May abundant blessings always be yours!

Out of Touch...

It has been some time since I have been in a place to sit and share. Many events collided together, leaving me in a mindset I didn't want to share. I am still only grateful for the added empathy gained, the perseverance I have achieved, the people God has blessed me with at just the right moments, the stillness, inspiration, and ability to laugh through the pain and tears. The confidence in trusting in me to know my body was such a gift while unable to do many of the things I had been able to do. There is always a blessing to be found...even if we have to search hard, or if only for the air we breath. The challenges in life have proven to be faith builders and among some of the best things that have happened to me...now, don't get me wrong, I am READY for some better, happier blessings. :) Just today I saw a post about God not giving us more than we can handle, but He handles what we can't. I have seen that in my life, and have, quite often I might add, reminded Him that I am glad He thinks so highly of me, but my idea and His, of what I can handle are miles apart at times! lol

Where am I today...seeking to use the gifts/talents I have, fulfill my dreams, IMAGINING how it would feel when I achieve them. Really attempting to focus in on a clear direction and just go for it! Regardless of how I feel, to do something each day to my greatest ability. I'll be revamping my blog, and keeping you posted! I appreciate all who have encouraged me and pray to encourage, inspire, and be a blessing in return!

May abundant blessings be yours always!

My Kitchen View

Sitting here admiring the view
sipping my cup of freshly brewed.
Spring is evident everywhere
causing me to stop and stare.

Rays of sunlight cordially show
the brilliant shades of green a glow.
Trees full of leaves, flowers bloom
and I sit gazing from this room.

Spider webs spun about decorate the trees
like strands of gold brightly glistening.
The dew on the leaves illuminated by sunlight
are like crystals sparkling bright.

Branches bounce up and down
as squirrels run and jump around.
Birds fly by and perch on a chair
and gently rest awhile there.

Enjoying the simple things in life
as I take some time to stop and write.
What an amazing sight
it reminds me that everything's alright.

I love to sip on my coffee and think
mesmerized by the flowers of red, purple and pink.
What a glorious gift of love
sent from God above!

For He grows all that fills this scenery
such a beautiful and ever changing artistry.
I'm grateful for my kitchen view on this new day
and all the blessings sent my way.
